The Data Fusion Lab is concerned with methods for sensor data processing and fusion with a focus on perception and localization for autonomous systems. In this context, the lab is equipped with a variety of sensors such as depth cameras, radar devices, inertial measurement units, and mobile robots including drones. Furthermore, a high-performance server is available for processing large amounts of sensor data.

The research in the Computer Networks group headed by Prof. Dr. X. Fu falls into four major themes: new network architectures and protocols, mobile and urban computing, cloud and edge computing with software-defined networking, and big data or social computing for smart environments and institutions.

The Sensor Education and Research Lab supports teaching and research on wireless sensor systems, IoT devices, RFID and NFC technologies, and practical experimentation with embedded and smart devices. It provides infrastructure for hands-on student projects as well as research collaborations.
