The Study Advisor

As the study advisor I answer all different questions across the mathematical studies at Göttingen. In the following, you will find an overview of the topics of advise and the regular office hours.
As far as you have a student e-mail-address, use this to contact me. The messages sent to the E-Mail address at the contact may be read and answered by other members of the study office mathematics, especially if I'm not available.

Regular Office Hours and Changes

On three days per week I offer open office hours, where you can consult me without an appointment. If not stated otherwise in the "changes" section, these are:
Monday: in-person in room 110 without appointment: 12.00 - 13.30 h
Wednesday: via telephone +49 (0)551 / 39-27762 without appointment: 13.00 - 14.00 h
Thursday: in this Link virtual office hours without appointment: 9.30 - 10.30 h
For Tuesday and Friday however: Please book online/phone or in- person appointments in Stud.IP
For longer issues I recommend booking an appointment via Stud.IP. In case you receive the message "Access denied" when trying to access through this link, you can still book appointments by searching for my stud.IP profile page through the stud.IP search bar and clicking on "book appointments" there.

Changes in regular office hours:

  • Vacation of the study advisory: 19.7. - 11.8.25, 11.10.25 - 22.10.25, 18.12.25 - 5.1.2026
  • Due to unavoidable time constraints: No office hours on the 26.8.25, 1.9.25.

  • Further Personal Issues Affecting the Studies (i.e. pregnancy, accessible studies, trans sexuality, care of relatives)
I also execute the compulsory advisory.
