For interested students

For selected students

If the formal requirements are met (see also checklist), the physical phase of a short-term mobility to participate in a Blended Intensive Program is eligible for funding. Payment is made by the Göttingen International Office in two installments (75% before the mobility/ 25% after the mobility and submission of the final documents).

How is the funding made up?

The funding for the physical phase of a short-term mobility (minimum duration: 5 and maximum duration: 30 days) amounts to:

    • 5 – 14 days x 79,00 € / day
    • 15 – 30 days x 56,00 € / day
      • In addition, travel days can be funded depending on the choice of means of transport (sustainable/non-sustainable) and the distance (according to the EU Distance Calculator; the starting point is always Göttingen):
        • up to 2 travel days if non-environmentally friendly means of transport are used
        • up to 6 days of travel if environmentally friendly means of transport are used for the outward and return journey.
          • It should be noted that a subsequent change (with acceptance of the nomination) is no longer possible. It is the responsibility of participating students to keep the relevant evidence (e.g. train tickets) for 5 years and to make it available to the Göttingen International Office on request (e.g. as part of financial audits).
From the 2024 project (mobilities from WS 2025/26), students will receive a travel flat rate
              • 10-99 km: non-sustainable travel €28 / sustainable travel: €56
              • 100-499 km: non-sustainable travel 211€ / sustainable travel: 285€
              • 500-1999 km: non-sustainable travel 309€ / sustainable travel: 417€
                • Students who belong to one of the following groups
                  • mobile learners with a chronic illness
                  • mobile learners with accompanying child/children
                  • mobile learners who are first-time graduates, i.e. whose parents or caregivers do not have an academic degree
                  • mobile learners who are employed in an employment subject to social insurance contributions (health, long-term care, pension and unemployment insurance) of more than €450 and less than €850 net per month
                  • can also receive additional funding (Social Top Up) with their application or nomination in the amount of
                    • 5 - 14 mobility duration in days in the amount of € 100 one-time
                    • 15 - 30 mobility duration in days in the amount of € 150 one-time

Unless otherwise provided for, students must organise their own travel arrangements. If necessary, the host institution will provide information about accommodation options, but a booking is not automatically made by the host institution.

How does the registration at the host institution take place?

The partner institution informs the participating partners about the procedure. A nomination is first made via the sending institution (subject). Further steps are then (after request) the registration in a registration portal of the partner institution.

As a participant in the Erasmus+ Programme, you are responsible for ensuring that you have sufficient insurance cover during your physical stay at the partner university. This includes at least sufficient health insurance, liability insurance and, if applicable, accident insurance. The Göttingen International Department does not provide advice on insurance matters. Please inform yourself about the various benefits offered at an early stage.
