In addition, online exams open up a wide range of pedagogical possibilities. A variety of question types are available, which can be enhanced with various media formats such as images, videos, audio clips, or animations. This allows for the assessment of not only factual knowledge but also more complex skills. When combined with subject-specific application programs, e-exams also enable competency- and practice-oriented assessment, such as in programming tasks or statistical calculations.
