Support program for students

Objective

Students who are responsible for at least one child are to be given a special incentive to complete their thesis at the Faculty of Social Sciences as part of the compatibility of family and studies. A two-month grant of 350 euros per month is possible.

Funding is only available to applicants who

  • are not employed at the University of Göttingen,


  • are writing the qualification thesis within a (partial) degree program of the Faculty of Social Sciences or are supervised by at least one member or a member of the faculty,


  • are admitted to write the qualification thesis,


  • are looking after at least one minor child under the age of 12 to a considerable extent and can demonstrate a special need.

There is no legal entitlement.

If you were unable to find a funding opportunity for your individual situation, please contact the Faculty's Equal Opportunities Officer. The programs can only cover the majority of funding needs and further funding options are possible.
