Laura Wedemeyer, M.Sc.
Laura Wedemeyer is a Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Development Economics under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Fuchs. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Göttingen University, with a semester abroad at Peking University in China.
During her doctoral studies, Laura conducted research stays at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne (France, 2024) and AidData at William & Mary (USA, 2023), and teaching stays at Fudan University (China, 2024) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa, 2025).
Her research interests lie in development economics, political economy, history of economic thought, and ecological and environmental economics.
